    OUESD has completed the pilot process for new Science Instruction Materials for our Elementary and Middle Schools. We are excited to announce the recommendation of Twig Science (K-5th) and McGraw Hill Inspire Science (6-8th). Information about the pilot process will be shared at the next OUESD Board Meeting on Wednesday, May 20th. 

    Due to the COVID-19 Shelter in Place order, OUESD is holding the “public viewing” virtually from May 17th - June 17th, 2020. Additional information and links to view the recommended materials are provided in the Letters below. Once you view the materials, please complete the
    OUESD NGSS Science Curriculum Adoption Feedback Form to share your comments or questions. Your responses will be used as part of the adoption process. 

    The official decision to adopt the materials will be made by the OUESD Board of Trustees at the meeting on June 17, 2020.

    6/1 - 6/4 Collection & Distribution Dates/Times:  

    • 6th graders:  Monday, June 1st:  9am to 12pm
    • 7th graders:  Tuesday, June 2nd:  9am to 12pm
    • 8th graders:  Wednesday, June 3rd:  9am to 12pm
    • Last call:  Thursday, June 4th:  8am to 10am

    7th and 8th Grade Boys' PE Items:

    In order to retrieve boys' PE items, please fill out the form on:  The form will help us determine the owner of the locker's contents.  Please fill out the form as soon as possible, to ensure it is prepared for distribution next week.  Upon receipt of the PE items, please wash them immediately as the locker room was recently fumigated. Thank you.

    Username:  (First 3 letters of first name, first 3 letters of last name and last 3 digits of Student ID)

    Password:  (student initials and entire student ID-no spaces)


    7th and 8th Grade Girls' PE Items:

    Unfortunately, per health and safety reasons, we are unable to retrieve any PE items left in the girls' locker room due to a fumigation. Once we receive clearance, we will communicate a distribution plan. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.     6th Grade

    • Logan OThe only 6th grader to Complete Code Combat CS1. Works very hard and exceeded assignment requirements.- Vinding
    • Isabelle VIsabelle has consistently done her math and has attended every zoom meeting that I have had during distance learning. - Gould
    • Ciana S: Ciana puts extra effort in to her distance learning while helping out with her younger siblings. She also helped me out be making a recorded video of herself for our incoming 6th grade students! - Hays

    7th Grade

    • Ariana F. C.: She has put in extra effort, attended all office hours and completed all assignments. She is also always willing to help others.- Woelffer
    • Cynthia A: Cynthia has worked so hard during distance learning. She completes all assignments early, even with sharing devices and wifi with other siblings of all ages. She is respectful, intelligent and dedicated to completing her work well. She is truly a well rounded and amazing student. - Woelffer
    • Gabe M: Gabe demonstrated excellent work habits in technology. He continued to completed more than what was required. He completed Code Combat CS 1 and has progressed to advanced Coding. - Vinding

    8th Grade

    • Leo RosalesLeo continued to demonstrate his commitment to learning during Shelter in Place. He had a perfect attendance for weekly Zoom meetings, and continued to produce quality videos for Digital Productions.- Vinding
    •  Frederick (Freddy) P: He has worked hard during distance learning and even encouraged other friends to do work when he found out they were not.
