Physical Education

All 7th and 8th grade students will be required to dress each day in a PE appropriate uniform.  Students in the 7th and 8th grade who forget their PE clothing will be required to wear loaners from the Physical Education Department.  Students may not participate in PE with facial piercings.  Piercings during PE represent a possible danger to the child as well as others.  All 7th and 8th grade students will be given a PE locker, and students are urged to use lockers during their physical education class.  Any excuses from PE class must be written notes from parents.  A physician must sign excuses for more than three (3) days.  Please note that students will lose points if they do not dress for PE, or if they choose to not participate.  Each trimester every student will be required to complete two (2) written PE assignments.  Failure to turn in the written assignments will result in the student’s grade falling one full rubric score. No perfume, body sprays or scented lotions are allowed due to allergies, scent sensitivities and asthma. Cell phones are not to be used at any time in the locker room.  This includes before and after school.
