Principal's Message

Dear Delta Vista Middle School Community,

I can’t even begin to express how excited and honored I am to serve you, your children, and this amazing staff as your Principal.

Sharing a little bit about myself, I was raised in Oakley just a short distance from where Delta Vista Middle School now sits.  My parents still live in the same house I grew up in.  I am proud to share that I am a product of the Oakley Union Elementary School District, attending both Gehringer Elementary School and Oakley Middle School, now named Oakley Elementary School.  Serving Delta Vista Middle School and the Oakley Union Elementary School District has been a dream come true for my family and me.

As your Principal, my primary objective is to ensure all our students are provided with the opportunity and the necessary “tools” to succeed in both school and life.  It is my goal to establish and maintain strong, trusting relationships with all stakeholders in our school community.  I am committed to being accessible to our school community, recognizing that my primary responsibility as your Principal is to serve our students, our staff, and our school community.  I will always put students first in any and all decisions I am involved in making at Delta Vista Middle School.

I pride myself on having an open door policy.  Please don’t ever hesitate to drop in or call me if there’s anything I can do for you.  If I’m not immediately available, please see Vera Gonzales in the front office and she will locate me for you.

I look forward to working with you this year as partners in the education of our students.

Rusty Ehrlich, Principal
